Price computing scales are unique in that they have been approved to calculate price based on weight. Many types of scales can provide Legal-For-Trade weightments but most scales will no
t give you a calculated price. As with any other kinds of scales, there are cheap ones and good ones. Good price computing scales will last longer and maintain better accuracy. To meet legal requirements these scales are often required to display both weight and price where both the sales person and the customer can see the display. Some of these units run on batteries as well as AC power.
