Setra

Unlike most scales that use an ordinary strain gage to measure weight, the Setra uses a frequency modulated ceramic element that has a direct digital output allowing up to 1,000,000 divisions of displayable resolution. After being in the scale industry for a decade working with traditional strain gage products, I was completely amazed when I first saw this done. Imagine a 50lb scale that could show you .02g increments. This technology is at the heart of most Setra products and it puts them on top for counting accuracy and for applications where the resolution of a balance is needed for the capacity of a bench scale. The Setra line including Setra Counting Scales have various capabilities and applications. Custom labels and forms and scanning part numbers to retrieve an APW are very common. We use Supercounts in our ISO lab to weigh calibration weights. Setra Scales are very stable, very repeatable and a very low uncertainty factor make this a winner for precision weighing under 100lbs.
